*****J’adore/Nous Adorons: World-changing, we could not put it down even if we dared to try. And, we might just read it again. We would recommend it to anyone.
****Liked it: It didn’t shatter our worlds. Something held us back from that amazing moment of complete obsession, but we definitely liked it a lot. We would recommend it to our friends.
For those who skim: A heartbreaking raw emotional story between two people who are struggling with redemption and acceptance.
Our lives shattered… Our hearts broken… Our souls torn to pieces…
He was my world, my whole life. My reason for breathing. I had a perfect marriage, a baby on the way, and I felt fulfilled—almost invincible.
Until the day life hit, leaving me broken, vulnerable, and alone.
She was my life. My ray of hope on the cloudiest day. With her, I thought I had the ultimate safety. A love that would never hurt or betray me. I gave her my heart, my body, and my soul.
Until she broke me, destroying every dream and illusion I had about life, love, and marriage.
In our grief, we made a mistake. A mistake I’m not sure we can come back from.
A spectacular story of raw emotions and the road to recovery.
This story wasn’t my usual read, but I was entranced by the first chapter. Mckeon’s words are filled with an honesty that touched the corners and crevices of my heart. I genuinely didn’t know where she would take me on this journey with Kylie, but it was amazing.
I found the search redemption and genuine repentance of the heroine to be a beautiful storyline. The heroine figured out exactly what she wanted and went for it. She worked on herself and didn’t lay the blame at anyone else’s feet.
I also didn’t know who she was going to end up with during the first part of the book which was kind of awesome and terrifying. I’m glad it ended the way it did, but I need to hear the other story now too!
This isn’t your usual romance, but that was exactly what I needed.
