*****J’adore/Nous Adorons: World-changing, we could not put it down even if we dared to try. And, we might just read it again. We would recommend it to anyone.
****Liked it: It didn’t shatter our worlds. Something held us back from that amazing moment of complete obsession, but we definitely liked it a lot. We would recommend it to our friends.

For those who skim: Roots and Wings is a sweet down to earth love story that goes down smooth leaving you with a smile.

Welcome to Wynne, population 3,401.

No billionaires. No professional athletes. No celebrities.

In this small town, current events are pondered in mirrors at the local salon or around crowded tables at the diner, and there’s a new couple to gossip about. A rough and tumble woman who works in her dad’s garage, not yet ready to spread her wings, shows the new guy in town what it’s like to finally have roots.

It’s your run-of-the-mill, sexy, Astro van driving dentist meets smart-ass, bass fishing tomboy in a story of real-life romance.

Low on drama. High on love.

Pull up a chair and stay a while.

In case you were wondering, this book is the spunkiest, sweetest, swooniest, most down to earth read that I have read in ages.

Mabie creates a rough around the edges heroine who won’t grate on your nerves. In fact, she will make you smile and wish she were your friend.

Vaughn is every woman’s dream man. But he doesn’t feel fake or too good to be true. He just feels polished and perfect for our heroine.

Chalk full of quick one liners and too true statements about life in a small town, Mabie told a story of an authentic love that kept me smiling all the way through.

Ps. I can’t wait to hear more about this small town!
